Wedding Photography at Maidens Barn
Emma and James were married at the fantastic Maidens Barn which is situated in the heart of the essex countryside in High Easter close to Chelmsford. The barn was built in the 1800’s and has been beautifully restored by the current owners and is spread over two floors. The large glass windows provide fantastic light, this is no dark and dingy venue!
I first met Emma and James for a pre wedding shoot in London and knew from that moment this was going to be a great wedding. A super friendly couple always with smiles on their faces and the camera loves them, what could possibly go wrong. On the big day itself Emma was nearby at her parents house where there was fun and laughter and no nerves in sight. Soon the time arrived for the bridal party to leave in the glorious sunshine and drive to the impressive barn. All the guests had already arrived, greeting James and taking their seats ready for the arrival of the beautiful bride.
After the ceremony the sky had clouded over slightly but was mighty atmospheric which I knew was going to be fun photographing. It was still dry though for everyone to be outside enjoying some live music and drinks in the grounds. I took Emma and James briefly into the neighbouring fields for some couple portraits before they joined the guests again to continue the party.
This was such a fun wedding, lots of laughs and everyone was enjoying themselves. A mix of good food, live music, drinking and socialising. There you have all the ingredients for a successful wedding. The partying went on way after I had left. It was such a pleasure to be part of Emma and James’s special day. Here are some pictures from the day.
